Vietnam Summit Meeting!!!!!

Today the important summit meeting is being held in regards to Vietnamese adoptions within the USA. You can find more information concerning this on our traveling companions, Jessica and Ken's blog. Please pray that a decision is made and the orphaned children find homes ethically.

Vietnamese Recipes ???

As Avery's first birthday is quickly approaching I am searching for a Vietnamese dish to include in her celebration. When we were in Vietnam we tried a dish that was sort of a tomato/vegetable type broth soup that we ate with rice. It was rather tasty. Unfortunately, we did not get the name of the dish and Thomas and Minh cannot remember what it was. So, if you have Vietnamese dish that you wouldn't mind sharing, please post.

soccer

Owen began taking a 4 week soccer class a few weeks ago and loves it! The class is for 3 year olds and is put on by our local parks department.

Refinalization and Name Change

Yesterday we had Avery's refinalization and official name change. She was such a good girl! The judge allowed Owen to come to the stand with Scott and Avery to crawl freely.

Deer Season 2007

This past weekend (opening weekend) the kids and I headed to the farm for the weekend. We rode ATV's in a limited area (around the house), read books, played with toys and watched Shrek about 100 times:)). The kids BOTH were so excited when our hunters returned from the woods with their white tailed deer.

We have a climber!!!

Last nigt, Avery thought it would be fun to try to hike her leg onto the fireplace hearth.

Then, she thought...well, I have the one leg, I might as well try the other.

So, in a nutshell...she made it! We now, officially have a climber!!!

Whales

Now that Owen is 3 and can go potty on the potty chair he is moving to the "whales" classroom. This past week, he went over for a few days as a transition period. After speaking with his teachers and viewing the following photographs, he seems to like the move. He begins, full time, as a whale on Monday.

Retail Therapy

This weekend Dad, Scott and Uncle Jimmy took Owen to the farm to complete all of the last minute deer season preparations. So, what to do...RETAIL THERAPY!!!! We had to buy some long sleeve outfits for miss "itty bitty" and a few other goodies. We managed to find the cutest little fluffy winter coat at the GAP. It looks like the bottom is going to drop out this week and she will certainly need it.

The Costumes
