Specialists Report on Dad

My dad went to the specialist for his anuerism this afternoon. The doctor did not seem very concerned about it thus far. He wants dad to return to him in 9 months for another sonogram. If the anuerism does not increase in size he will have periodic check ups and if it does, he may have to do something with it. He said that they are not too concerned until it gets to a size 5 (currently it is 3 x 3.6). According to this physician, surgery on anuerisms is not as bad as it used to be. "It is a pretty simple procedure". First, there is NO procedure that is simple and secondly, an anuerism is a BIG deal! In the meantime, he should control his blood pressure (which he is already medicated for). I guess I feel better knowing that the doctor is not very concerned, but the truth is, I am still terrified!!!

Prayer Request...I'm In A Panic!!!!!

Calling all prayer warriors!!! I am in need of some urgent prayers for my daddy. He was having some back pain, went to the doctor, had a catscan and ended with the diagnosis of a kidney infection. No big deal...treat with antibiotics. Well, in the meantime, the physician informed him that he has an anurism (sp?). I am freaking out!!!! While this is small and not much can be done for it, I am freaking out! Please pray that this does not grow and/or cause any complications!!!

Did I mention, my mother in law is in the hospital with her lungs full of blood clots!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

T Minus One Month!

T Minus one month (from tomorrow) and it will be Miss Avery's first birthday! Can you believe that my baby is already going to be 1? I am so sad that she is growing so quickly!!!!!

If anyone still has a yummy Vietnamese recipe for a dish that I could share with our families on her special day, please post in the comment section.

Owen had fun painting with icing today at school. However, I am not so sure that the icing ended up on the paper!
Avery got to paint with a paintbrush and enjoyed having a cupcake to celebrate a fellow classmates birthday.

Potty Progress!

We have now mastered the art of the potty chair. Yippee for Mr. Owen! He has done so incredibly well the past few weeks that we are now strictly in big boy undies. We are having a slight bit of difficulty at naptime and still need a diaper through the night but, wow...he did it!!!
