Happy Halloween!

Today Avery and I are spending the day together. We took Owen to school so he could celebrate the holiday with his classmates. They are having a party with snacks, stickers and the like. We figure he would have more at school:)). Tonight, we are having a few family members and friends over for dinner and then having them help pass out candy to the neighborhood goblins while we take our little munchkins trick-or-treating. I will post pictures of both Owen and Avery in their costumes later. Happy Halloween!

Harvest Moon Celebration

This past Saturday evening, we attended my uncles annual fall harvest moon celebration with family and friends. We played outside, had dinner and then headed home in time for the bonfire to begin. Our munchkins were all tuckered out.

October PAT Visit

We just completed our October PAT visit. Our parent educator, Christine read a darling book to Owen and discussed changing and mixing colors. Using food coloring, water, a coffee filter and a dropper they mixed and dropped colors onto the filter. After drying, we scrunched the filter and put a pipe cleaner in the middle to form a butterfly. Owen loved this activity. What will our next visit bring?

A Little Behind

Since our most recent addition to our family, I am a little behind on my blogging and scrapbooking. I apologize to those following our journey. As you can see, I have finally changed our family picture of 3 to 4!!!! We will see if we can persuade Scott into 5 members:)) - Love you Scott if you are reading this post!!!!!

Growing Like Weeds!

My babies are both growing like weeds. We went to the doctor last week for our first round of immunizations and a case of the HIVES caused by a virus. Owen weighed in at 33 pounds and Avery at 15 pounds 14 ounces (with clothing). Prior to last week Avery has been weighed wearing her diaper only, so I would say that a few of those ounces was clothing (or hair:)). Where does the time go?

My Little Pumpkins

Saturday Scott, Owen, Avery and I met some friends at Rombach's Pumpkin Farm in Chesterfield. It was SO hot outside but the kids didn't seem to mind. They enjoyed picking the perfect pumpkin, riding the ponies, playing on the playground and riding on the train.

Patty Cake

Could both of my babies be musically inclined? Both Owen and Avery love a tune (in key or not). They love it so much that they felt that it would be fun to create their own musical group. Owen got out his guitar and played (and sang) "patty cake" to Avery. She clapped along with him. Too cute!!!!
