Avery's Bday Party

Avery had a great birthday party. We had a variety of food to try - ranging from your basic ham sandwich to pho and spring rolls. I have to say, many people tried the pho and spring rolls but the results were pretty much the same...they didn't care for the dishes. But, we will continue to offer our family and friends Vietnamese dishes for our daughters special celebrations.

We ate, opened gifts and had cake and ice cream. Avery looked at her little cake, picked at it a little and then finally, we had to help her dig in. She managed to try a few bites but really didn't seem overly interested.

Thank you to all of my friends and family who came, ate and tried our culturally diverse menu. Most of all, happy first birthday to my precious Miss Avery!
