Hoppy Easter (Take Two)

Today we had made arrangments to visit the zoo with Owen's best friend, Jared. However, with the weather reports being less than desirable we decided we better make alternate arrangements. So, we ended up going to the mall. The boys had a ball. They played in the play area, got their picture with the Easter bunny, and got new Monster Trucks. Plus, their mommas had a little retail therapy!!! After our mall expedition we decided to have lunch at a local Korean restaraunt.

I feel like crying!

We got an email from our adoption agency this morning telling us that they got a batch of updates from Vietnam. They regret to inform us that there was NOT an update on our case! I feel like I could just cry!!!! I am hoping that we hear something soon!!!!

Scott needs a "NITRO"

I chuckle as I write this post - Scott is a mess! As difficult as it is to wait for your child, I found that it helps to SHOP!!!! This morning we went to Gymboree and bought the sweetest little dresses and hair barrets/bows and then to Stride Rite for a new pair of pink Robeez for Avery (of course Owen needed a new pair of sandals as well). Scott thought that he needed to call our friend, Jane who is a cardiology nurse for "nitro pills". Little does he know that this is just the beginning - hehehehe!

Happy Easter!

We went to the mall Monday night to do a little more shopping and saw that the Easter bunny was there and available to take pictures. So, we asked Owen if he wanted to go see him and get his picture taken with him. Now, any other time he would say "no" and not want a thing to do with the Easter bunny, Santa, etc. But, this particular year he said "yes" and willingly went over to see him. Too cute!!!

Potty Chair Progress

We have been a little frustrated with trying to get Owen to use the potty chair. I know that it takes boys longer than girls but it is still difficult. He sits on the potty at school when they ask him if he needs to go. At home, it is a different story. When we ask him, his response is always the same, "no". But, today...today he was a big boy!!! He went potty on the chair TWO TIMES!!!!! WOOHOO!!! Maybe we are heading in right direction! My baby is growing up!!!!

Shopping Spree Near Completion

My shopping spree is near completion (for 9 month outfits anyway). Shopping for a little girl is SOOO much fun! Some of my friends and family are curious as to what we bought so I thought that I would share. Obviously, I cannot show every outfit but have managed to share a few (and a picture of her closet).

Shopping Spree

Scott, Owen and I went on our first shopping spree for Miss Avery this evening. I had a hard time deciding on a size but went with 6-9 months and got TONS! I figured if I waited until we have our G & R scheduled all of the fall/winter clothing will be out and the good Lord knows we certainly will not be needing them in VN. I am excited to think she will soon be wearing these clothes! Keep your fingers crossed that we travel sooner than later! Tomorrow, I am off to Pottery Barn!
