One year ago today we departed Missouri heading for Vietnam. I will never forget the emotional roller coaster that day: scared to leave Owen for so long but excited to finally be getting our precious little girl, Avery.

Hard to believe it has been a whole year already. Wow!
I can't believe it's been a year - yet also can't believe it's ONLY been a year!
What a whirlwind the past year has been! Hard to think of what life was like before Avery came home.
