the worst night yet!

Last night was the worst night yet! We thought that we would be able to rest well considering we had many things to do yesterday (playgroup, lunch with friends, naps and swimming) and we were tired. However, that was not the case!!!!!!!

Avery wimpered throughout the night. She had a tummy ache and this morning is running a low grade temp of 99. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she is not getting hand, foot and mouth disease since Owen is just getting over it!
Owen, on the other-hand, screamed EVERY time that I got up with Avery and then a time or two when I was laying with him! I am not really sure what is going on with him other than the fact that we have totally rocked his world! Please pray that we can get some rest soon and that Owen will soon learn to love his sister (and be able to share mommy).

Hang in there! My "baby" was recently married and moved FAR away! Even the "worst" night memories are held near and dear to my heart. They grow up SO fast ~ enjoy each and every minute.
I am SO happy for you and your family. God Bless!

Aw! Poor kids! For what it's worth, when we first got home with our daughter from S. Korea, busy days seemed to wind her up and she actually had a much easier time getting to sleep after a quiet day. She still thrives on routine (and minimal exposure to new things & people). Hope both your kids settle down soon!!

Hang in there it does get better. We remember what it was like...it was so much hard than we expected. We realy thought that we made a bad decision adopting so soon...but now our boys love eachother and play together like you wouldn't believe. Not to discourage you, but it took a good 2-3 months for everything to settle down. We will be praying
